Take a Break: 4 Places to Work Up a Sweat After Hours

Take a Break: 4 Places to Work Up a Sweat After Hours

January 25, 2016

Most compromise exercise because of work. This doesn’t have to and shouldn’t be the case, though. Despite a busy work schedule, you can still workout by going to these spots that are open until late or even 24/7. End your day right with your endorphins flowing by checking these places out.

1. Terra 28

via bgc.com.ph

28th Street, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City

Working out is much more fun and motivational when you do it with other people. By taking your siblings to BGC’s Terra 28, you’ll hit two birds (sibling bonding and exercise) with one stone. Play traditional Filipino games like Patintero, Luksong Baka and Piko. Remind them about these awesome games that most kids these days have traded for computer programs.

How about rounds of habol-habolan with your siblings or even officemates? Terra 28th’s jogging paths are well lit until 10pm, so you can still catch it after acing your work deadlines.

2. Elorde Boxing Gym

via Elorde Makati

Choose from Elorde’s numerous branches here.

Release all of the day’s stress through a workout that will help you burn fat, make you stronger and even give you a sneak peak of Manny Pacquiao’s career. You’ll be breaking sweat beside professional fighters, which can serve as extra motivation.

If it’s your first time, make sure to bring wraps. You can borrow boxing gloves first if you’re still testing the waters of boxing as your new regular workout. Aside from boxing, Elorde also offers Muay Thai, Jiu-jitsu, MMA or Mixed Martial Arts and HIIT or High Intensity Interval Training.

With so many branches around the metro that are open until 10pm from Monday to Saturday, Elorde is a convenient workout spot when you get off from school or work.

3. Anytime Fitness

via  anytime fitness

2F Pioneer Centre, Pioneer Street, Pasig City

This gym’s open 24/7, so don’t even start uttering time-related excuses for not exercising. Night owls and those with peculiar work hours, Anytime Fitness will be your new workout pal! This gym is also perfect for those who travel a lot, because Anytime Fitness Members get access to all locations around the globe.

Anytime Fitness is complete with all the latest and necessary workout equipment. For gym virgins, don’t worry. Anytime Fitness also takes away the stigma of gyms being an intimidating place exclusively for weight-lifter and ultra-fit bodies. They make sure the gym’s vibe is friendly and accommodating.

4. 24/7 Eclipse Gym

via 24/7 Eclipse Gym

UGF, Le Mirage de Malate Condominium, 2126 A. Mabini Street, Malate, Metro Manila | 429 Shaw Blvd., Mandaluyong City

Here’s another gym that won’t leave you much room for excuses. As the name would suggest, 24/7 Eclipse Gym is indeed open around the clock.

What’s special about Eclipse is that not only do they provide their members with a customized training program based on an assessment; they also keep that program updated regularly for free. Of course, you can opt to hire a personal trainer for faster progress, but your customized and updated program will already do you wonders.

Take your workout clothes with you to work or school. With these sweat hot spots, your days are about to get more productive!

If there is one resolution to keep this 2017, it’s this: love yourself more.
